Amongst my new stash of goodies, was a heat gun and embossing powders. In fact, I've been accumulating so many goodies lately, my darling husband and I spent last weekend putting together my new craft storage area (ikea to the rescue) .. keep an eye out for pics, I'm so wrapped with how it turned out!
Well of course when you get anything new, If you're anything like me, you have to bust it out and use it! Here I made a simple note card using the same stamps I already had out (snowflake and circular frame from the vintage labels) I just added the little mini snowflake from the SU short and sweet word set. I versamarked each colour, embossed it and set it, before moving on to the next one. Made life much easier than trying to control embossing powder!
I made a few of these notecards in the end... good all-rounders I thought! Hope you agree.....
Lovely card Anne-Marie - it's a great example of hwo you can mix and match SU! stamps to create a new look. And you obviously have a lot of patience given all the embossing on the card....
ReplyDeleteSome lovely work on your blog but I must admit, this card is my fav. I would have never thought to use Vintage Labels like this. It looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteWow - beautiful cards Anne-Marie!
ReplyDeleteWow! This card is awesome! I love the vintage labels stamp on the black card stock. It looks really effective!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Anne-Marie .... lots of lovely ideas to case.
ReplyDeleteWow, I LOVE this! Hadn't even thought to use the tiny snowflake like that; you've inspired me. And I must get out my embossing powders in colours other than white and clear, LOL. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAwww thanks guys! I guess other than David (hubby) and the recipients, not many people get to see my cards. Thanks for the encouragement!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for a few ideas using this stamp set for one of my classes and I was a bit stuck. I hope you don't mind me getting a few ideas with your design. Absolutely beautiful, and I have a thing for stamping on basic black CS at the moment. Thank you for your comment on my project on the Art with Heart Blog Hop.
ReplyDeleteWOW Kristine, go for it, I'm just chuffed somebody likes it enough to partially or otherwise 'case' it :)
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so gorgeous! TFS!
